Medical care on Ellsworth Air Force Base is offered by the 28th Medical Group which offers full-service medical services including ambulatory services for service to the local Rapid City Regional Hospital. The hospital offers surgical services for inpatients as well as an intensive care unit and emergency room services. Active duty military may call for same day sick appointments starting at 0630 in the morning.
