Getting Here

The nearest airport to Ellsworth Air Force Base is the Rapid City Regional Airport, located about 11 miles from the base. Taxi service is available at the airport as well as rental car agencies. From the airport, take Airport Road to State Route 44, turn right on County-212, turn right onto 1416, turn left on Commercial Gate Drive to base - this route take about 20-25 minutes.

For those arriving in Rapid City by car, follow Interstate 90 from Rapid City to Exit 67B. The visitor center or Main Gate personnel will direct you to the Pine Tree Inn to check in.

For temporary lodging, the Inns of Ellsworth are located at 2349 Risner Drive and consists of three buildings of accommodations. Call for advance reservations prior to arrival at 605-385-2844 or DSN 675-2844. Local hotels near Edwards Air Force Base are also available.
